WESTERBEKE 55B FOUR MARINE DIESEL ENGINE

Westerbeke 12C TWO Marine Diesel Engine

55 HP
Lower profile and lower rpm...
Quiet and Compact

The 55B Four offers 4-cylinder, 4-cycle smoothness in a lightweight, compact engine. Designed to fit in the smallest engine compartments, the 55B Four is about 3 inches lower in height and over 2 inches less in width than its predecessor! A tuned air intake silencer and 4-point vibration mounts diminish sound and vibration for a smooth and quiet ride.

Powerful and Reliable
The naturally aspirated 2.18 liter design of the 55B Four provides instant power as well as simplicity and reliability. The 55B Four is rated at a low 3000-rpm for longer engine life and delivers dependable power without sacrificing smooth, quiet operation.

Easy Operation and Maintenance
In order to minimize engine maintenance, a fresh water cooling system and self-bleeding fuel system are designed into the 55B Four. For ease of maintenance, the raw water pump is conveniently located on the service side of the engine. Incorporated into the design of the 55B Four is a standard, positive flow, hot water heater connection in the thermostat bypass circuit located on the front of the engine for easy access.

Many Optional Accessories
Many optional accessories are available including large single and dual output battery charging alternators and refrigeration compressor mounts. Factory engineered and factory installed, an owner or builder benefits from these complete and properly designed systems.
